Oct. 1, 2015

RUSTON - Conference USA announced today that Louisiana Tech's women's basketball game against Southern Miss will be moved to Sunday, Jan. 24 at 12 p.m. for television purposes. The American Sports Network (ASN) will produce the game and a list of television stations that will air the contest will be released the week of the contest. The game was originally set for Saturday, Jan. 23.

ASN is an initiative of the Sinclair Networks Group, LLC, which owns and operates, programs and provides sales services to 164 television stations in 79 markets, reaching approximately 43 million U.S. television households. It includes FOX, ABC, CBS, MyTV, CW, NBC, Univision and Azteca affiliates. ASN, which launched in August 2014, produced 250 college events in nine sports in its first year and plans to air more than 375 events in the 2015-16 academic year.

ASN will also carry 10 games from the Conference USA Women's Basketball Championship, in addition to five regular-season women's games.

This marks the second Lady Techster game that has been confirmed for television as Tech's road game against Old Dominion on Jan. 7 will be shown live on Fox Sports Network. Head coach Tyler Summitt and Co. will open the season Nov. 14 at Wisconsin before returning home for their home opener Nov. 18 against Loyola-New Orleans. The Lady Techsters will play 15 home games this year in the Thomas Assembly Center.
