On free throws:
"Making 37 free throws out of 44 was something we had hoped for. We wanted to get to the foul line and make it a big part of our game plan. I am very thankful we were able to cash in there. We shot a lot of free throws the other day and guys shot it well. I am happy they shot it well tonight."
On guarding without fouling:
"We want to be one of the best teams in the country at not fouling, but still apply pressure and give great assistance. They did have some attacks and there was a big foul at the end of one of the periods to put them at the line. We were hoping to avoid that, but we are getting better at that. That is a positive."
On field goal dry spell late in second half:
"I just kept telling them that it does not have to be pretty, just find a way. I give Jackson State a lot of credit. Their zone and the way they play it, it is tricky. We were toying with it as the game went on. We finally found something in the second overtime. At the end of regulation they went to a different coverage. We were able to get on the glass and get to the line when we just were not getting clean looks. I am really proud of the guys for sticking together."
On individual performances:
"It felt like several games. Erik had two points at halftime, came back and ended up having a big game. Alex had zero at halftime and finished with 13 and seven. We had a lot of contributions from different guys on the bench. We had people playing in different positons, with Joniah out tonight. I have said this several times, we are flexible. Guys have been flexible with their role and their positions. We just had to find a way and we did tonight."
On crowd:
"The people here are incredible. The energy and cheering really gives us a lift. We played a 50-minute ball game tonight and we needed every piece of energy we could get. Jackson State played a great game and we were very fortunate to come out with a win."
