RUSTON - Louisiana Tech senior Whitney Frazier was named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association State Player of the Week as selected by association members, following her performance in the Lady Techster wins over Florida Atlantic and FIU.

The El Dorado, Arkansas native averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in the two games. In Tech's 73-68 win over Florida Atlantic, Frazier scored a game-high 20 points, including 14 in the second half, to lead the Lady Techsters from 19 points down to the victory. It was the third largest come-from-behind win in program history.

Frazier hit the go-ahead basket with 90 seconds to play and Tech never trailed again. In that contest, Frazier became the 19th player in LA Tech history to eclipse the 1,500-point mark in her career.

Frazier followed that performance up with a 13-point, 6-rebound effort in a 79-56 win over FIU.
