Head Coach Jeff Jenkins
"We had a 4 ½ hour delay this morning. It was a bit of a curveball but Victor took that in stride. He came out here a couple hours before his tee time, did a little practice, had some lunch then got going. He played some really good golf. He had a couple lost shots here and there but at the end of the day he gave himself a lot of opportunities, shot one under par and kept patient the whole time even though some putts didn't fall in. He posted a solid score despite very windy conditions."
On the success around the turn propelling him:
"We had a birdie and a bogey through seven holes and we come to 17 which was our eighth hole of the day. It is a reachable par five, he hit a four-iron about 15-20 feet and made that three-eagle which really propelled him. He birdied the next then he goes to one and makes a birdie there. That really got him going and at that point I thought we could get a special round. But he had a struggle coming in, hitting a couple bogeys along the way. He had some good shots, like I said, but all the putts didn't fall his way and that is just golf sometimes."
On the birdie on 18:
"Great up and down from the back bunker. He hit a great shot over the water, hitting a three-wood over a par-5 you have to hit it over the green if anything. It was a great up and down from the bunker and it was a sweet birdie."
On the final nine holes and playing against the wind:
"Hole three has to be the hardest par-3 out here today. Where the pin is, six steps behind it and it falls off real steep but eight or so steps in front of it, the ball rolls back into the bowl and you are hitting a 6-iron into the wind. A very difficult hole, he hit a good shot but it just went over the green barely. A great shot to just four or five feet but a downhill cross-wind putt missed it. That is just going to happen with as difficult as these par-threes are."
On the mindset for tomorrow:
"I don't think the mindset changes. The thing is, though, the putts need to fall. You can't make it happen, you just have to keep executing good routines. He has hit a lot of great shots and a lot of great putts. We are going to hope the putts fall tomorrow."

Junior Victor Lange
"It was a good round. It was solid golf, really. I had a good stretch in the middle of my round and that really got some momentum going for me. My back nine, the front nine, was playing fairly tricky as there was a lot of wind and two of the par-threes got me. I am not unhappy with my round at all. It was a good round."
On his bunker shot on 18:
"It was kind of my strategy to hit it slightly long and get it on the back of the green there. It ended up rolling through the green into the bunker and I didn't have a great lie so I tried to hit a splash shot to the pin and it ended up landing softly on me, leaving me 10 to 15 feet from the pin. Then I just drained it which was really nice after the eagle. That was awesome."
On momentum gained around the turn:
"Momentum was on my side there but it is not easy out here. There is so much wind and a lot can happen. You are going to pick up some bogeys and I just didn't have a clean enough round, if you can call it that with too many mistakes here and there. But I hit a lot of good shots and there were a lot of positives. It feels like I am playing as well as anybody in the field at the moment, I just need things to fall my way."
On his mentality entering the final round:
"The mentality doesn't change. Obviously I have to put a good round together tomorrow but the wind is going to be even stronger than today. IT will be interesting tomorrow to say the least. But I really like to play in the wind so advantage for me there and I am really looking forward to playing tomorrow."
On the challenge of the delayed start:
"You can respond in two ways, you can take it negatively or you can take it positively. I just did my daily routine this morning where I basically had a day of practice before I played. I felt good going in to the round, really good. I had a good drive session, good putting session, good range. I felt really good going into the round, which was nice."
