RUSTON -- For the first time in more than a 11 years, Louisiana Tech eclipsed the 100-point plateau as the Lady Techsters rolled to a 103-63 win over NAIA foe LSU-Alexandria Saturday afternoon at the Thomas Assembly Center.

LA Tech (2-2) dominated from start to finish, shooting 59 percent from the field, held the Generals to only 33 percent shooting and won the rebounding battel 56-24 as the Lady Techsters bounced back from a heart-breaking overtime loss at Clemson Tuesday.

"I was really pleased with our effort and our energy," said head coach Brooke Stoehr. "That was the biggest thing. I thought we were better defensively against the dribble drive, and I thought we took good shots and were very unselfish on the offensive end."

It was the first time LA Tech had scored 100 or more points since defeating Nevada 108-72 on Feb. 5, 2005. Tech is now 107-2 all-time when eclipsing the 100 point plateau.

Sophomore Jasmine LeBlanc led Tech, scoring a game-high 19 points, grabbing nine rebounds, recording a career-high three blocks, added two assists and a steal in only 19 minutes of action. LeBlanc hit 7-of-8 field goals and was 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

LeBlanc was just one of many Lady Techsters to find success offensively as all 11 players that played in the game for Tech scored.

Senior Rochelle Vasquez followed up her career-high night at Clemson with another solid outing, scoring 15 points and recording six assists. Ashley Santos and Alexus Malone came off the bench to each scored 12 points. Malone was 6-for-6 from the field and added seven boards in 15 minutes while Santos added nine rebounds and three assists in 22 minutes.

As a team, Tech hit 59 percent (38-64) from the field for the game, including opening the first quarter by hitting 13-of-19 shots to build a 30-16 lead after the initial 10 minutes. Tech recorded 26 assists on 38 made field goals, including a game-high seven by Kierra Antony and six by Vasquez.

"I thought there were a number of times where we made the extra pass to get a better look," Stoehr said. "Twenty-six assists and only 13 turnovers; that's the type of turnover-to-assist ratio we are looking for each night. I thought we were unselfish with the basketball."

All four freshman for LA Tech recorded career-highs in points, led by Anna McLeod and Kierra Lang with eight points each, Daria McCutcheon with six points and Ashley Reid with two points. The four-some also combined for six assists and only three turnovers.

Tech entered the game with a minus-8 rebounding margin through the first three games of the season and had struggled with teams getting second and third chances on possessions. However, against the Generals, Tech pulled down 32 more rebounds and allowed only 10 offensive boards despite 50 misses from the field by LSU-A.

"I thought the concerted effort to find a player and block out was there today," said Stoehr. "They shoot a lot of threes. So many times against teams like that, there are a lot of long rebounds. I thought we were focused on doing a better job of rebounding."

LSU-Alexandria attempted 35 three-pointers in the game, hitting 11 of them. Luv Blackburn led LSU-A with 12 points while Lillie Snowden and Katie Lemieux each added 10 points.

The Lady Techsters return to action Tuesday when they travel to UL-Monroe for a 6 p.m. tipoff against the Warhawks.
