RUSTON -- For the second time in 10 days, Louisiana Tech will play an I-20 neighbor when the Lady Techsters travel 30 minutes east to face ULM Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

Tech (2-2) and ULM (2-3) will meet for the 54th time in women's basketball with the Lady Techsters leading the series 44-9, although the Warhawks won the last two meetings. The two programs haven't met since the 2007-08 season which was a 72-51 ULM victory in Ruston.

The Lady Techsters have already defeated I-20 foe and Lincoln Parish neighbor Grambling State 69-55 in a game played at the Thomas Assembly Center Nov. 19. ULM also faced Grambling State this season, falling 59-54 at home.

Tech and ULM also have a second common opponent in LSU-Alexandria. The Lady Techsters won that game 103-63 while ULM defeated LSU-A by a score of 73-61. However, LA Tech head coach Brooke Stoehr knows that previous games and scores will little when game time comes Tuesday.

"We are excited to play an in-state foe and I-20 neighbor in ULM," said Stoehr. "It's an opportunity to be tested on the road and renew a longtime series. ULM plays very hard and will crash the offensive boards. We have to continue to improve on the defensive end of the floor and understand the importance of each possession."

Tech ends the game ranked 10th nationally in field goal percentage (48.9%) after shooting almost 60 percent from the field in its win over LSU-Alexandria on Saturday. It was the highest single game field goal percentage by a LA Tech team since shooting over 61 percent in a win over Boise State on March 1, 2003.

Offensively, Tech is averaging 78.0 points per game and boasts a balanced offensive attack led by sophomores Jasmine LeBlanc (16.8 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 60% FG), Kierra Anthony (11.8 ppg, 4.8 apg, 8-15 three-pointers) and Reauna Cleaver (10.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg).

Senior guard Rochelle Vasquez has also been impressive over the past two games, averaging 16.5 points while shooting over 60 percent from the field. She scored a career-high 18 points in an overtime loss at Clemson and followed that up with a 15-point performance in the win over LSU-Alexandria.

ULM also has three double digit scorers through five games, led by Gabriella Cortez (13.4 ppg), Alexis Collins (11.4 ppg) and Stephanie Ratliff (10.6 ppg, 13.0 rpg). The Warhawks are outrebounding opponents by 11 boards per game but are also committing almost 25 turnovers a contest.

Tech is 17-7 all-time against ULM in Monroe and 165-17 against current members of the Sun Belt Conference.

The game can be heard on the LA Tech Sports Network on ESPN 97.7 FM (Ruston/Monroe), KTKC 92.9 FM (Springhill) and KJVC 92.7 FM (Mansfield) with the pregame show starting at 5:30 p.m. Fans can also hear the game through the Louisiana Tech X mobile app and Red Peach Media mobile app while also listening online at espn977.com.
