RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech shortstop Chandler Hall has been selected as the Hitter of the Week by Conference USA following a big week at the plate in LA Tech's win at No. 12 Arkansas and this weekend's series victory over Valparaiso.

Hall went 7-for-15 in four games for a .467 average on the week, while the junior drove in six RBI's and scored three runs in that span. Hall also had a home run, double and stolen base against the Razorbacks and Crusaders on his way to earning the first weekly honor of his career with the Bulldogs.

The junior began the week going a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, stolen base and two runs scored in LA Tech's 3-2 road win at No. 12 Arkansas in Fayetteville. Hall followed up that performance with four hits and six RBI's in this weekend's three-game series against Valparaiso. He drove in two runs in each game, including a two-run home run in Friday's opener to help lead LA Tech to a 3-1 record on the week.

Hall wrapped up the weekend by coming through in the clutch with the game-winning two-run single in the bottom of the eighth to help LA Tech complete a late-inning comeback and series victory over Valpo.

Hall is hitting .314 through the first 11 games and is tied for the team lead with nine RBI's. He is currently ranked first on the team with two home runs, while the junior is sporting a .390 on base percentage and has stolen four bases in as many attempts on the season.

The Bulldogs return to action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday as LA Tech travels to take on the sixth-ranked LSU Tigers at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge. The game will be available to watch live on SEC Network+ while Mark Cramer will provide the play-by-play audio on LA Tech All-Access (FREE).
