"Anytime you have all five guys potentially being a counter, that is what you want. Everybody from top to bottom brought it today. To throw out a 73 at one-over-par, if we have that happen for us the next two days then we are going to be in fine shape."

On having three golfers card an even-par round:
"It was huge. I told them last night that even-par is an excellent score on this golf course. The scores are actually a little bit lower than I thought they would be today. I think everyone thought they would be a little higher. To have three guys shoot even-par is incredible. With two newcomers to shoot even-par is a game changer for us."

On finishing the day in second place and who Tech will be paried with Monday:
"I think it is big for our belief. Our guys have shown at times this year that we can play top-50 program golf. We are good enough to make a regional. Today is just one more piece of evidence of that. I think today was a big step in the right direction. To be paired with some of the teams that we hope to have been paired with starting today, it will be a big piece for us. Hopefully tomorrow will go the way today went."

On what he told the team after today's round:
"Stay the course. I told them that this is one big step. They are very excited, which is great because we want to be excited to celebrate a good thing. But it is just one step in the right direction. We still need two more big steps just like today."
