Hamilton to Play Professionally in Poland

Aug. 12, 2016

RUSTON ââ'¬" Former Louisiana Tech point guard Alex Hamilton has inked a professional basketball contract with MKS Dabrowa Gornicza in Poland.

Hamilton most recently took part in the NBA Summer League playing for the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Chipley, Florida native finished his historic four-year career at LA Tech with a bang by earning Conference USA Player of the Year honors as well as being named AP Honorable Mention All-America.

He ended up averaging 19.8 point per game to help him finish with 1,986 career points, the third most by a Bulldog in program history.

In his final game inside the Thomas Assembly Center (a place where he recorded an amazing 61-2 career mark), he registered only the third triple-double in program history with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

The savvy veteran ended his career as the all-time winningest Bulldog in program history with 106 wins. Other former Bulldogs who have signed professional contracts recently for this fall include Jaron Johnson who will play for the Perth Wildcats in Australia and Raheem Appleby who will join Kouvot Kouvola in Finland.
