Sept. 15, 2016 RUSTON ââ'¬" The Louisiana Tech tennis team will hit the courts on Friday for the first time this fall season as the Lady Techsters make the short trek down I-20 to Monroe to participate in the Warhawk Invitational at Raymond Heard Stadium.
The tournament will start at 8:30 a.m. with doubles play, followed by two rounds of singles and possibly another round of doubles later in the day and will continue all through Saturday.
Six Lady Techsters ââ'¬" Jazmin Britos, Marta Sramkova, Nadja Manjon, Sonia Chen, Alba Escalona Perny and Haley Ballinger ââ'¬" will participate in the ITA sanctioned event in singles and doubles.
Doubles will be played as a regular set with no-ad scoring while singles will be a best out of three set, also with no-ad scoring.
Along with LA Tech and the host-school ULM, players from McNeese State, Stephen F. Austin, Louisiana-Lafayette, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Miss, Nicholls State and Tulane will compete in the tournament.
