RUSTON, La. – On Tuesday morning, Louisiana Tech bowing coach
Matt Nantais announced the fourth early signee to the 2019-20 signing class, in Tara Spridco.
"We are excited to have Tara join us next year," Nantais remarked. "During her visit it felt that Louisiana Tech was a great fit for her both academically as well as bowling. I saw Tara at the USBC Combine in Dallas last summer and was impressed with her attitude and how she interacted with everyone she came in contact with. She also has a great work ethic and that is something that will serve her well in her collegiate career."
On the lanes, Spridco was the No. 1 overall prospective recruit at the 2018 Bowling Combine. She was captain of her high school team all four years of high school, and was also chosen for all-district honors each of those four seasons.
Spridco is a member of National Honor Society at Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield, Texas, and is ranked 25
th out of her 531 classmates.
Spridco joins a program under Nantais that has increased its win total every season, and has been consistently ranked among the national top 25 (currently 14). The 2018-19 Lady Techsters have posted top-three finishes in three of their four tournaments this season, and own the most wins among all top-25 programs (39).
