RUSTON, La. (Oct. 30, 2019) – The Louisiana Tech men's golf team will take part in one final tournament to close out its 2019 fall slate this weekend, competing in the 2019 White Sands Invitational at the Ocean Club in Nassau, Bahamas, hosted by the University of Houston.

Tech will compete as part of a competitive 15-team field including, #2 Wake Forest, #3 SMU, #23 Arkansas, #28 Houston, #46 UAB, Florida State, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Illinois State, Miami (Ohio), Middle Tennessee, Northern Illinois, Samford and Wisconsin.

The weekend will consist of a three-day, 54-hole tournament starting on Friday, Nov. 1 running through Sunday, Nov. 3. Each day will consist of an 18-hole shotgun start with the first groups teeing off at 7 a.m. CT.

Tech's weekend lineup will feature
Sam Murphy,
James Swash,
Lake Juban,
Mac Murphy and
Trey Poteet.
Judd Tilson will compete as an individual throughout the weekend.

Through the first three tournaments,
Mac Murphy leads the Bulldogs in stroke average at 71.88. He also leads the squad with six par or below rounds in his first three events along with a pair of top-10 finishes on the year.

Most recently, the Bulldogs concluded action at the Intercollegiate at the Grove, finishing eighth out of 14 in a rain-shortened two-round tournament.
