Three Lady Techsters Receive Conference USA Honors

Autumn Woodard and Elizabeth Doll named All-Conference, Josie Studer named All-Freshman

RUSTON – After helping the Louisiana Tech soccer team record 13 wins during the regular season and qualify for its sixth straight Conference USA Tournament, Autumn Woodard, Elizabeth Doll and Josie Studer earned Conference USA honors in a vote by the league head coaches.

The sophomore Woodard was one of four forward to receive first team honors.  She becomes the third Lady Techster in program history to be named First Team All-Conference USA.

Doll, a junior defender, was named to the third team for a second straight season.  And fellow defender Studer was named to the All-Freshman Team, the sixth time in the last seven years LA Tech has had a player selected as a newcomer.

Woodard made an immediate impact in her first year in Ruston.  The Orange Park, Florida native set numerous program records, including total points (39) and total goals (17).  Both of those totals rank as the second most in C-USA history.  She scored in seven straight matches during non-conference play, also a program record.

Doll has started 17 matches at center back, playing a total of 1,487 minutes.  The Pearl River, Louisiana native has totaled six points on two goals and two assists with both goals being game-winners.  She has gone the distance in 13 matches, including in nine of the 10 conference matches.

Studer has seen action in 18 matches with 16 starts on the back line.  She has totaled 1,453 minutes played, the fourth most on the team, including all but 27 minutes of conference play.  The Waxhaw, North Carolina native has been part of four shutouts and netted her lone goal at ULM.

LA Tech finished in a three-way tie for sixth in the league standings.  After the tiebreakers, the team earned the No. 8 seed in the C-USA Tournament and will take on No. 1 seed Florida Atlantic on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 11:30 a.m.  The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
