RUSTON, La. – Following a devastating tornado that touched down on Louisiana Tech's campus early Thursday morning, Louisiana Tech officials have announced the 2019 Techspy Awards have been canceled.
 
Due to continuing efforts to clean up the damage, officials made the decision Friday to cancel the fifth annual Techspy Awards show, which was originally scheduled to be held Monday, April 29 in Howard Auditorium. 
 
Louisiana Tech officials, student-athletes and coaches have continued to volunteer in to aid in the relief efforts surrounding the Ruston community since Thursday morning's tornado.

The Louisiana Tech campus suffered significant damage to several athletic facilities, including major destruction to the softball, baseball, soccer and tennis complexes. Individuals can donate to help with the cost of the rebuild by going ton ltu.al/rebuildathletics.
