RUSTON, La.Â
— Louisiana Tech's baseball team has announced its Fall World Series schedule, which will be a one-game, winner-take-all contest on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Ruston High School Baseball Field. First pitch for Wednesday's matchup is set for 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs will be split into two intra-squad teams — the Red Bulls and Blue Dogs. Captains for the Blue Dogs are
Parker Bates,
Taylor Young,
Tyler Follis and
Bryce Fagan. Captains for the Red Bulls are
Hunter Wells,
Steele Netterville,
Manny Garcia,
Kyle Griffen and
Jonathan Fincher.
The Bulldogs played a three-game series this past season, but Wednesday's contest will be all that's needed to decide a winner between the Blue Dogs and Red Bulls. The Red Bulls clinched the Fall World Series title in just two games a year ago. The Red Bulls closed out the series in a sweep behind a six-run fifth inning in the second contest.
Complete rosters for Wednesday night's contest have been posted on LA Tech Baseball's
