The Diamond 'Dogs (10-8) and the Blue Hens (8-9) are set for their first-ever meeting this weekend, as well as Delaware coming in for their first conference weekend as a CUSA member.

LA Tech entered the week coming off a series win on the road at South Alabama before going cold Tuesday night at home against Lamar, falling to the Cardinals, 6-0, while only scratching one hit in the box score. It is the second time this season the 'Dogs have been shut out at home, and the first time being held to just one hit since February 21, 2025 at Southern Miss.

It was the least amount of hits for Tech in a game at the Love Shack since March 8, 2025 when South Alabama held the 'Dogs to just two hits in a 9-0 shutout.

As a team, the Bulldogs have the second-most strikeouts in the league with 164, while also holding the second-best opponents' average at .257. Tech's 24 homers as a team rank fourth in CUSA, and have turned the second-most double plays with 17.

While offense has proven to be good in spurts, the Bulldog defense has also been one of the most efficient entering league play with the third-best fielding percentage at .975.

Delaware enters the weekend riding a three-game winning streak, securing their first road win of the season at Penn on Tuesday after outscoring Canisius 24-1 through the final two games of their weekend series played in Newark. After opening the season with a rough 1-7 start, the Blue Hens are 6-2 since.

Evan Bouldin has been one of the hot bats for Delaware's lineup, batting .344 with starts in all 17 games thus far. The senior infielder leads the team with 22 hits, five homers, 42 total bases and an OPS of 1.092. He is also tied for the team lead with five doubles and his 15 runs are the third-most for the Blue Hens.

Vincent Davis and Jeremy Wolf are two other hitters batting over .300 entering the weekend. Davis and Bouldin are both tied for the second-most RBIs on the team with 16 behind Noah Burroughs' 17. Wolf, Davis, Bouldin and Burroughs are also the only four Blue Hens with multiple homers this season.

Sal Mineo has been one of the most efficient baserunners for Delaware, leading the team with 18 runs scored and has swiped seven of the team's 21 stolen bases on just eight attempts.
