RUSTON, La. – The Louisiana Tech tennis courts will be closed starting immediately as repairs begin on the damage caused by the EF3 tornado that struck the area last spring.
All eight courts will be unavailable for use for the next few months as demolition begins this week. The project will include replacing fencing, repairing and resurfacing the courts and installing new LED lights.
The duration of the project will be approximately 10-12 weeks depending on weather over the next few months. Â
Work has also begun on replacing the roof of the old Joe Aillet Stadium Fieldhouse and the Charles Wyly Athletic Center as both were damaged during the tornado. Â
