LA Tech Announces Gameday Procedures for Football

RUSTON – In coordination with state public health and University officials, Louisiana Tech Athletics announced today a list of procedures and guidelines for Joe Aillet Stadium for the 2020 football season.

The measures implemented this fall for the five Bulldog home games will help make sure the gameday experience for fans is as healthy and safe as possible.

Among those measures is the seating capacity at Joe Aillet Stadium which will be 25 percent (or 7,140 available seats) including the complimentary allowance of 1,000 students per game.  LA Tech students beyond that number would still be able to purchase an individual seat if available at a discounted price.  If not all tickets are sold, more complimentary seats will be made available for LA Tech students.

Season ticket holders will receive a call from the LA Tech Ticket Office the week of Sept. 14 to talk through social distancing guidelines. LA Tech Athletics will have room to place all season ticket holders within Joe Aillet Stadium on gamedays.

All stadium and facility entrance points will have adequate line-queues to filter and control fans' path into the stadium with signage and floor decals requiring fans to maintain physical distance.

All tickets will be digital to help limit the contact between event staff and the fans entering.  Another effort to provide expedited entrance will be the new requirement of clear bags (medical bags will be permitted through a certain checkpoint).

Everyone attending the game will be required to wear a face covering in Joe Aillet Stadium on gameday as this complies with the State of Louisiana Mask Mandate.  The order requires face coverings for everyone ages eight and older except for anyone who has a medical condition that prevents the wearing of a face covering.

Parking passes have also moved to digital form this season.  Mobile parking will be loaded onto the same application where fans can access their digital tickets.

A number of the traditional gameday experiences will also be affected to provide the safest environment.

The pregame festivities, including live bands, within Bulldog Village will be put on hold for the 2020 season.  Tailgating within Bulldog Village and on campus will not be permitted.  Pre-game meals at Argent Pavilion for LTAC donors and Alumni Association members will also not take place for this season.

Fans with questions regarding any of the new LA Tech Athletics policies should contact the LTAC office at (318) 497-7986 or the ticket office at (318) 257-3631.
