ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (5-8-3, 1-4-2 C-USA)
LA Tech was eliminated from C-USA Tournament qualification this past Friday after suffering a 2-1 loss at home to North Texas.  The Lady Techsters held a 1-0 lead at halftime thanks to a header goal scored by Marcela Gallo, but the Mean Green netted two second-half goals to take the victory.

The team has held a one-goal advantage in five of their last seven matches (four coming against C-USA opponents), but all five resulted in either a tie or a loss.

Josie Studer continues to pace the team with nine points on four goals and one assist.  The junior defender has played a team-high 1,315 minutes, including every minute in league action.  She is on pace to become just the fourth player in program history to play every minute of C-USA play.

ABOUT FIU (2-11-2, 1-4-2 C-USA)
FIU put an end to its 13-game winless streak by shutting out C-USA East Division leader Old Dominion, 1-0, this past Friday on the road.  It was the first league victory for the Panthers who also has draws with Florida Atlantic and Marshall.

As a result, Idelys Vazquez and Ithaisa Vinoly were named the C-USA Defender of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively.  It was the third clean sheet of the season for Vinoly who has made 11 starts in net and has a 1.80 goals against average.

Noemi Paquin anchors the team offensively with 10 points on five goals scored, four of those coming during league action.

THE SERIES
LA Tech and FIU will meet for the seventh time in their history.  The Panthers are one of two cross-division opponents the Lady Techsters will have faced this season (also played Charlotte).

The two teams played every season from 2015-19.  FIU won the first two meetings in the series, but LA Tech is 3-0-1 over the last four.  The last matchup in Miami ended in a 2-2 draw back in 2018.
