RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech's men's and women's indoor track and field teams are set to compete in the 2021 Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday in Birmingham, Alabama. This weekend's meet will mark the 10
th consecutive year the C-USA Indoor Championships have been held in the Birmingham CrossPlex.
The two-day championships will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday with the heptathlon 60-meter dash. Field events on Saturday will begin at 1 p.m. with the men's pole vault, while running events will start two hours later at 3 p.m. with the men's one-mile trial.
Sunday's events will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the heptathlon 60-meter hurdles. Field events will begin at 10 a.m., and running events will continue at noon.

No spectators will be allowed at the C-USA Indoor Championships.
"We are looking forward to this weekend's conference championships," head coach
Gary Stanley said. "Obviously training has been affected with the inclement weather, but the weather has affected most teams.
"We are eager to compete."
The men's team placed sixth in the 2020 C-USA Indoor Championships, while the women's team placed 11

Denzel Harper secured a first-place finish in the long jump, besting the second-place finisher by more than six inches.

Sydney Anderson finished sixth in pentathlon and high jump, respectively, at this past year's meet.
