MONROE, La. – It's been 12 days since Louisiana Tech and ULM opened up the 2021 softball season on a bitterly cold night at the Ouachita Sports Complex.
Louisiana Tech defeated the Warhawks 3-2 that night and both teams played other opponents the following day in the Best of the Bayou Classic.
Neither has played since.
Thanks to Mother Nature, both the Lady Techsters (1-1) and the Warhawks (1-1) have seen the majority of their early season scheduled wiped out.
However, Tech and ULM are set to resume action Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. when the Lady Techsters travel I-20 to square off in round two with the Warhawks at Geo-Surfaces Field.
The contest will be live streamed on ulmwarhawks.com. Fans can also follow a live home audio broadcast by clicking on the LISTEN LIVE link on the schedule page on LATechSports.com.
The Lady Techsters were led in the season-opening win over ULM by Caroline Easom (solo home run) and Madie Green (2-run single) at the plate and Audrey Pickett (W) and Emma Hutchinson (SV, 6 Ks) in the circle.
There will capacity limitations at the game as only 200 fans will be allowed into Geo-Surfaces Field.
