TULSA, Oklahoma – Louisiana Tech will have its last weekend non-conference tune-up in preparation for the start of Conference USA action as the Lady Techsters travel to Collins Family Softball Complex for a three-game series against Tulsa.
Saturday's doubleheader is set for 12 p.m. while Sunday's single game will start at noon. All three games will be streamed live on tulsahurricane.com/watch.
The Lady Techsters (7-12) – who open up C-USA action next weekend in San Antonio – picked up a pair of wins last weekend in Memphis, defeating the Tigers 7-6 and 10-6 on Saturday before falling in Sunday's finale.
Tech is led offensively by Brooke Diaz (.300, 1 HR, 4 RBI), Zoe Hicks (.286, 10 runs), Kara Goff (.277, 2 HR, 10 RBI), Olivia Ellingson (.250, 4-4 SB) and Tristin Court (.250, 1 HR, 9 RBI).
In the circle, the Lady Techsters are led by Audrey Pickett (1-5, 4.04 ERA), Bre Hernandez (3-4, 4.32 ERA), Lauren Menzina (1-0, 3.82 ERA) and Emma Hutchinson (2-1, 4.57 ERA).
Tulsa (8-5) is coming off an impressive showing at the Kansas Jayhawk Invitational last weekend. The Golden Hurricane is led offensively by Imani Edwards (.357, 5-5 SB), Haley Morgan (.353, 11 runs), and Kylie Norwood (.341, 9 runs, 7 RBI).
The Tulsa staff has been impressive, striking out 107 and allowing only 19 walks all season. They are led by Samantha Pochop (4-1, 3.19 ERA), Chenise Delce (2-3, 3.30 ERA) and Sara Llamas-Howell (1-1, 2.94 ERA).
