@LATechSB Travels to No. 14 ULL

LAFAYETTE, La. – It's been almost two years since Louisiana Tech and UL-Lafayette met in softball.
And although the game itself – a 7-2 win by the Ragin Cajun's – wasn't that memorable, the hours following it were.
ULL defeated Tech at the Lady Techsters Softball Complex on April 24, 2019. It would be the last game ever played in the facility.
Less than six hours after the final out was recorded, the well-documented EF3 tornado ripped through Ruston destroying homes, businesses, lives and more.
Fast forward to 2021.
A new coach. A new team. A new stadium.
This year's version of the Lady Techsters will travel to Lamson Park Tuesday to face the Ragin Cajuns at 4 p.m. in a game that will be on ESPN+.
UL-Lafayette is 34-7 on the season and ranked No. 14 in the country. The Ragin Cajuns have hit 47 home runs on the season and stolen an eye-popping 115 bases. ULL has outscored its opponents 281-110.
In the circle, ULL has recorded 13 shutouts and the staff has combined to strike out 277 batters while walking only 72.
Louisiana Tech (14-22) is coming off a weekend in Birmingham that saw it drop three out of four games against the Blazers.
Following Tuesday night's game, Tech will host Grambling State Wednesday at 6 p.m. before hosting UTEP this weekend in a four-game Conference USA series.
