HATTIESBURG, Miss. – With only two weeks remaining in the Conference USA regular season, Louisiana Tech opens a four-game series Friday against Southern Miss at USM Softball Complex.
The weekend schedule includes a single game Friday at 6 p.m., a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. and a single game Sunday at 1 p.m. All four games can be seen through a paid subscription to CUSA.tv.
Tech (19-24, 7-5 C-USA) currently sits in third place in the West Division of the league standings after taking three out of four against UTEP this past weekend. The Lady Techsters are also coming off a 3-2 win over Northwestern State in 15 innings on Tuesday.
Southern Miss (20-25, 2-10 C-USA) started the season strong but have dropped 12 straight games, including nine straight league losses. USM dropped all four games against North Texas in Denton this past weekend.
Louisiana Tech has experienced some of its most memorable moments in Hattiesburg the past two trips, winning the 2017 Conference USA Tournament title and then claiming the 2019 C-USA regular season title.
Tech leads the all-time series against the Golden Eagles 28-17, including winning eight of the last nine meetings.
