DALLAS – Louisiana Tech's
Conner Killian and
Callie Ezell were named to the 2021 Conference USA Track & Field All-Academic Teams on Wednesday afternoon.
Killian, who was also named to the 2020 C-USA Cross Country All-Academic Team, has earned a 4.0 GPA in his graduate studies for an MBA and a 3.94 GPA in his undergrad work. He has been a member of LA Tech's AD Honor Roll 11 times, Dean's List 10 times and the President's List nine times.
Killian has also been a member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll four times and a C-USA Academic Medalist four times. The graduate student participated in the 800m and 1,500m outdoors for the Bulldogs, and he finished second in the 1,500-meter run with a then lifetime-best time of 3:55.89 at the LSU Boots Garland Invitational. The Metairie, Louisiana native later broke his PR in the 1,500 at this past weekend's C-USA Outdoor Championships, placing ninth overall with a time of 3:54.12.
Ezell, a junior from Monroe, has a 4.0 GPA in animal science. She has made the AD Honor Roll eight times, Dean's List eight time and President's List once.
Ezell has also made the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll three times and has earned a C-USA Academic Medalist three times. She recently got accepted into veterinary school. Ezell participated in the 400m and 800m events this season, posting a personal best in the 800-meter run at the LSU Boots Garland Invitational with a time of 2:21.02 in April.
