RUSTON, La. – Bulldogs Conner Killian and Ahmad Young will represent Louisiana Tech at the Arkansas Twilight held at the University of Arkansas' John McDonnell Field on Friday evening.
Killian is set to compete in the 1,500-meter run, while Young will face off against a field of 14 additional competitors in the 110-meter hurdles. The projected start time for the 1,500-meter run is 8:12 p.m., while prelims for the 110-meter hurdles are set to being around 5 p.m.
Friday's meet will be streamed live on SEC Network+ and can be followed at the attached live results link.
"I'm excited about being able to have two guys race this weekend," head coach Gary Stanley said. "This will be Ahmad's first outdoor performance of the season, and it's a very good thing to get him in a technical race like the hurdles before the conference meet.
"Conner also gets the chance to step into a pretty big field and will hopefully record a really good effort as we look at what we're going to do heading into conference."
Following Friday night's meet in Fayetteville, Arkansas, LA Tech will compete in the Conference USA Championships on May 13-16 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Louisiana Tech's most recent meet, Texas A&M's Alumni Muster, was cut short due to heavy rain in College Station, Texas. Only eight events were completed, none of which came on the track.
