Monroe, La. --  Louisiana Tech (4-6) volleyball team will make the short trip down I-20 for a showdown with in-state foe UL-Monroe on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m.

About Louisiana Tech (4-6)
LA Tech is 4-6 on the year with wins over Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Jackson State, Prairie View A&M and Lamar. All four of the Lady Techsters wins this season have come via a sweep. LA Tech is coming off a 0-3 week at the Fight for the Fort Invitational hosted by TCU.  

Offensively, the Lady Techsters are led by Faith Menary (83 kills, 3.19 k/s). Senior Jordyn Carswell (52 kills, 2.17 k/s) and sophomore's Morgan Smith (51 kills, 1.50 k/s) and Carly Doros (50 kills, 1.52 k/s)  are also dangerous weapons for the Lady Techsters offense. Redshirt sophomore Mallory Meers directed things offensively for LA Tech, dishing out 232 assists (7.25 a/s).

On defense, freshman libero McKenzie Johnson leads the Lady Techsters back row collecting 165 digs (4.85 d/s), while five other Lady Techsters have also recorded over 48 digs. Morgan Smith (28 blocks, 0.82 b/s) and Carly Doros (27 blocks, 0.82 b/s) have played above the net collecting 55 of LA Tech's 68.5 total blocks.

The Lady Techsters average 10.65 kills, 9.41 assists, 1.15 aces, 16.26 digs and 2.01 blocks per set, while hitting .142 as a team.

About Louisiana Monroe (3-8)
After starting the year with wins over Prairie View A&M, Lamar and Northwestern State, the Warhawks have dropped their last seven in a row. ULM was swept by Tulane, Missouri State and Saint Louis last weekend at the Mary Jo Wynn Invitational in Springfield, Mo.

ULM are led offensively by Cali Assaley (94 kills, 3.03 k/s) and Avery Cole (81 kills, 2.53 k/s). The combo of Darby Fisher (143 assist, 5.30 a/s) and Mariana Volponi e Giordan (134 assists, 5.15) direct the Warhawks offense. Logan Jeffus is a force on the defensive side for ULM collecting 22 total blocks (0.61 b/s) while Madeline Hogan (120 digs, 3.33 d/s) oversees the Warhawks back row.

As a team, ULM averages 10.55 kills, 9.66 assists, 13.29 digs and 1.34 blocks per set while hitting .177 overall.

Series History
LA Tech holds a 23-9 lead in the over series against ULM with the Lady Techsters have won an astounding 23 of the last 26 matchups. Of Tech's 23 wins over the ULM, 17 have come via a sweep. LA Tech and the ULM last met on October 1, 2019 in Monroe with the Lady Techsters coming out on top with a 3-0 sweep of the Warhawks.
