RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech announced today that
Taylor Cross – a soon-to-be two-time LA Tech alum – will be the new Director of Athletic Development and LTAC.
Cross, who already earned her finance degree from Tech and who is scheduled to complete her MBA work in February, will oversee all facets of the Louisiana Tech Athletic Club (LTAC) while working under the supervision of Associate AD for Championship Resources
Colton Primm.
"After conducting our search, it became evident that
Taylor Cross was the best fit to lead the Louisiana Tech Athletic Club," said Primm. "Taylor has made an immediate impact on our athletic fundraising operations this past year as a graduate assistant.
"She is a Tech graduate who provides a unique skillset and a great personality that fits well with our team culture. I am excited to watch Taylor's continued growth – both personally and professionally – as she takes LTAC to new heights."
Cross has served as development assistant for athletic advancement since September where her focus fell on increasing the annual fund and number of LTAC donors. She already carries a portfolio of 75 donors and stewards with her previous position.
"We are excited to keep Taylor on the University Advancement team," said Vice President for University Advancement Brooks Hull. "Her work has been instrumental in the success of our athletic fundraising programs and we look forward to her leadership for LTAC."
Cross will serve as the front-line fundraiser to solicit new gifts for LTAC and to assist current LTAC members with renewals while also overseeing fulfilling LTAC membership benefits. She will oversee football tailgating and RV lots, coordinate hospitality areas and special events related to LTAC and oversee the LTAC graduate assistant position.
"I consider myself so privileged to have the opportunity to give back to my alma mater," said Cross. "This University has given me so much, and I am honored and excited to serve not only this great University, but the community of people who make Louisiana Tech the first-class institution that it is."
During her time at Tech, she has also served as the graduate assistant of the College Panhellenic Council, served as Vice President of the College Panhellenic Council, Chair of the Lambda Sigma Honor Society, and a fund manager of the Student Managed Investment Fund with the College of Business.
She graduated magna cum laude in Finance last March and will complete her MBA in February.
