RUSTON- The Louisiana Tech volleyball team hit the road to face off with Middle Tennessee in Murfreesboro, Tenn. on Friday and Western Kentucky on Saturday.

ABOUT LA TECH
For the first time since joining C-USA in 2013, LA Tech defeated North Texas 3-2 (25-20, 15-25, 25-23, 27-29, 15-10) last Sunday. The victory over the Mean Green gave head coach Amber McCray her 200th career win.
Setters Kalee Cadwell and Ashley Jones both collected double-digit kills with 20 each. Chard'e Vanzandt finished the match with 14 kills followed by Carla Esquer with 9. The defense was key to the match. Andrea Spasojevic set a new career high with four blocks. Morgan Smith added seven blocks in Sunday's match to bring her into the lead in blocks per set in C-USA play.
ABOUT MIDDLE TENNESSEE (13-9, 2-6 C-USA)
Middle Tennessee will come into Friday's match after falling to Western Kentucky last Sunday 3-0 (25-17, 25-11, 25-20). The Blue Raiders were only able to college 24 kills in the match with a .159 hitting percentage.
Freshman Adri Rhonda ended the day with 11 kills and a team-high .346 hitting percentage. To go along with her kills, Rhonda also had two service aces giving her a total of 53 this season.
Banton leads Middle Tennessee with 1,179 career digs only needing 14 more to tie the program record.
ABOUT WESTERN KENTUCKY (21-2, 9-0 C-USA)
Western Kentucky continues play this weekend after their victory 3-0 over Middle Tennessee to keep them undefeated in C-USA play. The Hilltoppers are currently leading the conference in hitting percentage at .318.
Lauren Matthews was named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. She led the offense with 23 kills off of 36 attempts. Matthews is currently averaging 6.33 kills per set with a .400 hitting percentage.
Setter Callie Bauer is ranked nationally at No. 14 for triple-doubles while leading C-USA. She's also leading the conference with 831 total assists.
