ABOUT LA TECH (3-7-3, 1-2-2 C-USA)
Louisiana Tech picked up its fifth point in the Conference USA standings Sunday with a 1-1 draw at home against FIU.
The Techsters scored their earliest goal of the season, 12' into the match, off a curling left-footed attempt from
Kalli Matlock's corner kick. Matlock beat the keeper in the top corner of the far post for her second goal of the season.
FIU equalized just 5' into the second half to push the 1-1 draw despite some great chances late for LA Tech.
In the same minute as Matlock's goal, senior
Sophie Fijneman crossed the 4,000 career-minutes mark, making her only the second member of this year's team to reach that number. Fellow senior
Josie Studer is the active leader in minutes with 4,478.
LA Tech remains tied for 6th place in the C-USA standings, with UTSA just two points out of the top four.
The Techsters are 3-2-2 at The Mack this season, and are 2-3-2 in C-USA play in the facility's second year. Tech will be looking for their 50th overall win at home since 2014.
LA Tech has used 19 players in starting roles this season, with only three players starting all 13 matches.

Since the start of conference play, Tech's five goals scored are tied for third-most in the league.
