RUSTON, La. – The Louisiana Tech Soccer team put a bow on a very successful fall Sunday in the club level of the Davison Athletics Complex to recap the 2022 season and hand out the annual team awards.
"Our team awards night is a great way to get together as a team and celebrate the accomplishments of our program on and off the field," said head coach
Steve Voltz. "It's always nice to be able to recognize the work of our athletes with these team awards."
Team MVP went to Sydney Korchak, who started 18 matches in goal for the Techsters while totaling 86 saves and 1.78 goals against average. The sophomore from Winnipeg led Conference USA in saves per game (4.78) and ranked No. 2 in total saves while registering seven wins and earning three shutouts. Her 86 saves also ranked as the fifth most in a single season in program history.
