RUSTON, La. – After finishing its first road trip of the season, Louisiana Tech is back home for five straight. LA Tech is set to host Louisiana-Lafayette Tuesday night and Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday night.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (7-5, 0-0 C-USA)
LA Tech is fresh off its first road trip of the season. The Bulldogs finished 2-3 on the week, dropping contests between Nicholls and Southeastern and capturing two out of three games from
McNeese.
Bulldog center fielder,
Cole McConnell had a remarkable week at the plate going 10-for-20 (.500) with a home run, a double and six RBI.
The Bulldog bats were explosive in Friday and Saturday's wins at McNeese plating a total of 32 runs.
Wade Elliott and
Cole McConnell both tallied four hits in the 21-5 game one win at McNeese.
Left-hander,
Cade Gibson, is slated to make his third start on the mound Tuesday night against UL-Lafayette. Gibson is 1-0 with a 4.41 ERA over 16.1 innings pitched with an outstanding 23 to three strikeout-to-walk ratio.
ABOUT UL-LAFAYETTE (6-6, 0-0 Sun Belt)
UL-Lafayette faced off with Southern Miss over the weekend, dropping two out of three to the Golden Eagles.
Head Coach Matt Deggs enters his third season at the helm. The Ragin' Cajuns posted a 8-9 record in the shortened 2020 season. In Deggs' second season, Lafayette owned a 32-23 record and the Sun Belt Conference West Division title.
Carson Roccaforte has led the Ragin' Cajun offense thus far, batting .342 with two home runs, two doubles and leads the Sun Belt conference with 16 RBI. The sophomore outfielder was 2-for-4 with two RBI in their last win against Southern Miss on Friday.
Right-hander Peyton Havard is set to make his fourth start for the Ragin' Cajuns. Havard is 1-1 and has racked up nine innings with a 4.00 ERA and a nine to three strikeout-to-walk ratio.
ABOUT SOUTHEASTERN LA (5-7, 0-0 Southland)
The Lions traveled to No. 3 Arkansas over the weekend and snuck away with a 7-3 victory in game one. Southeastern dropped the Saturday doubleheader 4-2 and 11-1.
LA Tech and Southeastern met last week in Hammond when the Lions used a two-run seventh inning to take the first of two matchups this year.
Southeastern center fielder, Tyler Finke, was 2-for-4 in their win at Arkansas, leading the club with two RBI in the sixth inning when they scored all seven of their runs.
THE SERIES
Louisiana-Lafayette leads the all-time series versus LA Tech 68-56. The two squads last met in 2021 for two midweek games. The Ragin' Cajuns took both of the games 4-3 and 7-2. The last time they squared off in Ruston, the Bulldogs won 3-2 in 10 innings.
Southeastern leads the all-time series against LA Tech 14-12. Southeastern and LA Tech played last week in Hammond, as Southeastern took that meeting 4-3. March 10, 2020 was the last time the two programs met in Ruston as the Bulldogs won by a final of 14-3.
