RUSTON – In an announcement made by the league office on Friday, a total of 75 Louisiana Tech student-athletes received the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal during the 2021-22 academic year.
 
The 75 Bulldogs and Lady Techsters was the highest total ever, eclipsing the previous record which was 66 set back in the 2018-19 academic year.  It was also the highest percentage of all LA Tech student-athletes at 20.2 percent.
 
Six programs – Baseball, Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Tennis and Women's Track and Field – either set or matched their record highs for most academic medalists.  This was also the first time that every program had at least one academic medalist. 
 
Medals are given to those who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or better (based on GPA in fall quarter only).  The following is a complete list of the LA Tech medal winners, listed by sport:
