RUSTON – For a second consecutive season, Louisiana Tech was named a Division I Women's Tennis ITA All-Academic Team as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Monday.

LA Tech finished the 2021-22 academic year with a 3.54 team GPA, well surpassing the 3.2 grade point average needed to earn the All-Academic Team distinction.

On top of the team honor, five Lady Techsters –
Madison Cefalu (3.87),
Tiffani Nash (3.88),
Ana Rodrigues (3.68),
Leonie Schuknecht (3.74) and
Lara Unkovich (3.91) – were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades, student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the academic year.Â

Earlier this year, seven of the players were named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll while four received the C-USA Academic Medal.
