ABOUT LA TECH (2-1-1)
Louisiana Tech wrapped up a four-game opening-season home stand with a 2-1-1 mark after picking up wins over Murray State (2-1) and Abilene Christian (1-0), falling to Northwestern State (4-1), and finishing Sunday in a 0-0 draw against UL-Lafayette.

The win over ACU last Friday marked LA Tech's 175th program history.

Sydnee Korchak was recently named the C-USA Goalkeeper of the Week for her two shutout performances against Abilene Christian and UL-Lafayette. Korchak registered 11 saves, including seven against UL-L, one shy of her career-high.

Korchak has only conceded one goal this season in three starts and has produced over 217 straight minutes of scoreless action.

The Player of the Week honor was the first in Korchak's career. She is the third LA Tech keeper to win the award and the first since teammate Christina Hjelvik in 2020-21.

LA Tech has compiled 36 shots through four matches with 19 coming on goal and has netted four goals off of five assists for a total of 13 points.

Tech's opponents have put 24 shots on target out of the 53 total attempted scoring five goals against the LA Tech defense. LA Tech's keepers have netted 18 saves, and a .789 save percentage through four games.

The Techsters' trip to Oxford will be the first of four road games which also includes Mississippi State, Sam Houston, and Little Rock before returning home for the Conference USA home opener against Western Kentucky.

ABOUT OLE MISS (3-0-1)
Ole Miss recently moved up to No. 12 in the latest national poll after a 3-0-1 start and has yet to concede a goal on the 2022 schedule.

The Rebels started the season with wins over Southeastern (5-0) and No. 22 Memphis (3-0) at home, a road win over Middle Tennessee (3-0), and a scoreless draw at Samford.

Ole Miss returns 14 players from last year's NCAA tournament team that went 12-6-3 overall and 6-3-1 in SEC play. They welcome 13 newcomers, including transfers from the likes of Gonzaga, Duke, and LSU.

The Rebels are led by four preseason SEC watchlist players Sydney Michalak, Ashley Orkus, Mo O'Connor, and Taylor Radecki.

Orkus is the two-time defending SEC Goalkeeper of the Year and a 2021 first-team All-American. Orkus has 19 shutouts in her 61 appearances, including the four clean sheets to start the 2022 campaign. She has given up 1.13 goals per game in her career to go along with a .781 save percentage.

On the offensive side, senior Marykate McGuire leads the Rebels in points, with nine, off of three goals and three assists to start 2022.

The Rebels have outshot their opponents 57-26, 27 of those coming on goal. Ole Miss has also outproduced corner chances by a mark of 33-8 in four games.
