ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
LA Tech looks to carry its momentum from the fall season when they amassed 74 combined victories in single and doubles into the spring.
Â
Top singles player
Leonie Schuknecht, who is in her third year, registered a team-leading 14 fall victories in route to becoming the first Lady Techster in program history to earn Conference USA Women's Tennis Athlete of the Month in back-to-back months.
Â
Schuknecht was not the only one to have a big fall.Â
Ana Rodrigues recorded the most singles victories with 10, just the third LA Tech in the last decade to reach double-digit wins during a fall season.
Â
Other highlights from the fall included
Ilana Tetruashvili and
Alexia Romero joining the 50/50 club with at least 50 career singles and doubles wins (spring and fall combined).Â
Â
As spring seasons go, LA Tech is coming off one of its most historic years as the Lady Techsters posted an 18-6 dual record, the second most wins in program history. Included in that was a program record 14-match winning streak.Â
