Louisiana Tech are still looking for their first conference win after a 2-2, draw against UTEP on Sunday, Oct. 24. The Bulldogs have tied in their last two Conference USA meetings.
 
Senior Kalli Matlock put the Bulldogs on the board with her third goal of the year in the 11th minute with an assist from Avery Kyle. Louisiana Tech would take a commanding 2-0 lead after junior Lauren Egbuloni's goal in the 15th minute. Lauren's goal came from a double assist from Madita Ehrig and Emma Jones. 

Senior Emma Jones has had an assist in the last two games for the Bulldogs. Louisiana take has scored two or more goals in the last three games. The Bulldogs have outshot their opponents 22-13 in the last two matches. 
 
ABOUT SAM HOUSTON (3-5-2) (0-2)
Sam Houston State is currently on a two-game skid after losing back-to-back games. The Bearkats lost to Liberty on the road 6-0 on Sunday, Sept. 24. Sam Houston State also lost to FIU at home by a score of 3-0. The Bearkats have been outscored 9-0 in their last two matches. 

THE SERIES
Louisiana Tech leads the series between Sam Houston State 2-1-2. The Bulldog's last matchup against the Bearkats resulted in a loss 2-0 in Huntsville. The first matchup between the two in 2009 ended in a 0-0 tie after extra time in Huntsville.
