Louisiana Tech picked up its first conference win of the season with a 2-0 victory against Middle Tennessee on Sunday, Oct.15. Freshman
Kyra Taylor notched two goals to help lead the way.
Kyra's first goal would come from a cross assisted by
Josie Studer in the 2nd minute. Taylor's second goal came with assisted help of
Madita Ehrig in the 47th minute.
Kyra Taylor is now tied for second for the most goals scored in a single season for a freshman. She also became the first freshman to have three multi-goal games in a season.
Kyra is now also tied for first in Conference USA for goals on the year with eight.
ABOUT FIU (Florida International University) (8-4-3) (3-0-3)
FIU in its most recent game picked up a 3-2 win against Jacksonville State at home last Sunday, Oct. 15. The Panthers picked a win after a four-game drought, that resulted in three ties and one loss. FIU's last win came on Sept. 21, when they won 3-0 against the Sam Houston Bearkats.

Louisiana Tech leads the series between FIU 4-2-2. The Bulldog's last matchup against the Panthers resulted in a 1-1 tie in Ruston on Oct. 2, 2022. The Panther's last win came in 2021 when they beat the Bulldogs 4-0 in Miami.
