RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech Men's Basketball team begins a three-game road stretch on Saturday when they take on Saint Louis inside Chaifetz Arena. The Bulldogs will have five of their next six games away from home.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (9-2)
LA Tech led wire-to-wire in an 89-60 victory over Southeastern this past Tuesday. The Bulldogs shot a season-best 53.8 percent from beyond the arc while knocking down a season-high 14 three-pointers in what was their fourth straight win and their ninth victory in the last 10 games.
Tahlik Chavez continued to stay hot, scoring a game-high 22 points versus the Lions (his third 20+ scoring performance in the last four games). He went 6-of-8 from three-point range, giving him 30 triples on the season which ranks 38th in the country. He has upped his scoring average to 12.6 points per game but is averaging 20.3 points over the last four contests.
Isaiah Crawford did just about everything against SLU, registering 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists, four steals, and two blocks. He continues to pace the team in scoring at 14.4 points per game. The forward also ranks top two on the team in rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks (all of which also rank in the top 10 in CUSA).
The Bulldogs outrebounded the Lions, 44-35. They are currently averaging 41.09 rebounds per game as well as 28.82 defensive boards per contest, both of which rank in the top 50 in the country. LA Tech has pulled down 40+ rebounds in six games this season, including each of the last four.
After its defensive performance against SLU, LA Tech is back in the top 10 in the nation in scoring defense (61.1) and field goal percentage defense (37.0). The Lions were limited to 37.7 percent shooting, becoming the eighth opponent of the 'Dogs to not crack 38 percent which is the most of any team in the country.
ABOUT SAINT LOUIS (6-5)
Saint Louis snapped its three-game losing streak this past Saturday, defeating Hofstra at home by a final score of 71-68. After opening the season with four straight wins, the Billikens had stretch of losing five of their next six games.
As usual, the Billikens have been tough to beat at home where they are 5-1. Since 2018, they are 76-15 at home with only seven of those losses coming in non-conference play.
Saint Louis is anchored by Gibson Jimerson and Terrence Hargrove Jr. as the two are averaging 16.3 and 14.2 points per game, respectively. The duo has combined to hit 40 three-pointers this season. Jimerson was named to the Atlantic-10 Conference preseason team, having led the squad in scoring last season at 14.0 points per game.
Sincere Parker was leading Saint Louis in scoring at 17.3 points per game through the first four contest, but has been out for the last month due to injury.
The Billikens are a quality three-point shooting team at 37.9 percent, which ranks 45th in the country. They are coming off a game against Hofstra where they went 13-of-29 from behind the arc, both season highs. They also like to get to the charity stripe, averaging 17.0 made free throws per game. They have attempted at least 20 free throws in seven of their 11 games.

The two teams squared off again in 1999, which resulted in a 68-60 win for the Bulldogs. The last meeting came in a neutral site game in College Station, Texas where the Billikens prevailed, 87-65, back in 2006.
The last time LA Tech played a basketball game in the state of Missouri was in 2010 when they faced Missouri State in the CollegeInsiders.com Tournament.
