ABOUT JAMES SWASH
James Swash earned an automatic bid as an individual to the NCAA Regionals after being the individual medalist at the 2023 Conference USA Men's Golf Championship at Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Arkansas.

The fifth-year senior was three shots back going into the final round and ended up shooting a championship-best 68 to win by two strokes.  In doing so, he became the first LA Tech golfer since 1980 to become a conference individual champion.

It was one of his four top-20 finishes during the 2022-23 season and one of his two top-10 finishes (tied for eighth at the Border Olympics.  He finished in the top 35 individually in eight of his 10 tournaments.

He joins LA Tech golfers Victor Lange (2014, 2015) and Sam Murphy (2022) as the only Bulldogs in program history to receive a bid to compete at the NCAA Regionals as an individual.
