ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (2-2-1)
LA Tech had a 3-0 setback against Baylor this past Thursday.  Despite allowing three goals, freshman goalkeeper Emma Duguay had a quality start in net with eight saves, the most by a Bulldog keeper in a single game this season.
 
So far this season, eight different Bulldogs have tallied at least one point.  Froward Lauren Egbuloniu leads the way with five points, having scored twice with both being game-winning goals.  Midfielder Emma Jones is right behind her with four points thanks to her multi-goal game against ULM.
 
Defenders Josie Studer and Sophie Fijneman lead the way with 440 minutes played apiece (all but 10 minutes this season).  They are two of seven Bulldogs that have started all five matches this season.
 
ABOUT HOUSTON (4-0-1)
Houston is unbeaten on the season, opening the year with a scoreless draw at Washington followed by four straight victories over Southeastern, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State, and most recently a 2-1 win at Rice.
 
The Cougars have outscored their opponents, 16-5, with an average of 3.20 goals per game scored.  They have also outshot their opponents, 77-54.  Cameryn Maddox leads the way offensively with five goals, which is tied for the 18th most in the country.
 
Olivia Dietrich has made four starts in net, registering 22 saves with a 1.00 goals against average. 
 
THE SERIES
This will be the first ever meeting between LA Tech and Houston on the soccer pitch.
