Bulldogs Conclude Play at GMAC Invitational

ONEONTA, Ala. – Louisiana Tech's four individual golfers wrapped up play at the GMAC Invitational Tuesday at Limestone Springs Golf Club.
For a second straight round, sophomore Peyton Johnson had the best score for LA Tech, shooting 75 (+3) to finish the tournament tied for 51st with a three-day total of 78-70-75=223 (+7).
Sophomore Riley Hnatyshyn matched his round two score, carding a 78 (+5) to finish at 73-78-78=229 (+13) and in a tie for 71st.
Freshman Gray Kingrea concluded his first collegiate event by shooting 79-80-83=242 (+26). Redshirt sophomore Joel Thomas Stephens was the fourth Bulldog in action, shooting 82-81-80=243 (+27).
Host UAB ended up winning the event as a team by four strokes over Lamar. There was a two-way tie at the top for individuals with Seb Cave (UAB) and David Schneider Jarez (Lamar) shooting 206.

LA Tech returns to action on Oct. 8-10 at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, hosted by East Tennessee State at Blackthorn Club in Johnson City, Tennessee.
