Avery Kyle,
Kyra Taylor, and
Tal Faingezicht were all selected to the 2024 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Matlock, a fifth-year senior defender for LA Tech, was named Academic All-District for a third consecutive year. She recently graduated with a degree in Speech Pathology while having a 3.84 GPA. On the field, she started in all 17 matches for the Bulldogs, registering a team-high six points on three goals.

Kyle, a redshirt-junior forward, earned Academic All-District honors for a second straight year. In the classroom, the Marketing major has a 3.72 GPA while on the field she started in 16 matches for LA Tech.

Faingezicht, a senior defender, received her first Academic All-District selection. She recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, owning a 3.65 GPA. On the pitch, she played in all 17 matches this past season while making 15 starts, registering a team-high two assists.

Taylor, a sophomore forward, also earned her first Academic All-District honor. She has a perfect 4.00 GPA as a Psychology major at LA Tech. On the field, she started in all 17 matches while posting a team-high six points on three goals.

This marked the second straight year LA Tech has had four Bulldogs receive Academic All-District accolades, tying the program record. LA Tech has now had 14 different Bulldogs receive this honor in program history.Â
