Bulldogs head to Eatonton, Georgia for the three-day tournament hosted by Kennesaw State
RUSTON – Louisiana Tech heads into its ninth event of the season, taking part in the 18th annual Linger Longer Invitational hosted by Kennesaw State.

Location: Great Waters Golf Course (Eatonton, Ga.)
Yardage: Par 72 | 7436 yards
Stroke Play: 3 rounds/54 holes (18 holes per day)
Participants: 14 teams

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
LA Tech is coming off a 7th-place finish at the 39th annual Louisiana Classics in Lafayette this past week. The Bulldogs finished round in ninth on the team leaderboard but climbed one spot in both the second and third rounds.
Three Bulldogs finished in the top 20, led by Niilo Maki-Petaja who tied for fourth. The freshman's second top-5 finish of the season earned him a second Conference USA Golfer of the Week honor.
Maki-Petaja shot 72-68-70=210 (-6) to extend his streak of rounds at or under par to nine. He has a team-best stroke average of 72.10 and has climbed to No. 255 in the nation.
Hunter Battles collected his second top-20 finish of the season, tying for 15th after shooting 70-73-73=216 (E). The graduate senior has shot under par in three of his last six rounds, improving his stroke average to 72.61.
Gray Kingrea was the third Bulldog in the top 20, tying for 18th as the top individual with a 75-71-71=217 (+1). After shooting a 71 (-1) with a team-best six birdies in round two, the freshman backed that up with another 71 (-1) in round three in what was just his second event played this season.
Thomas Henson will be back in the lineup for a third straight event. The senior tied for 54th after shooting 73-74-76=223 (+7) at the Louisiana Classics. Through two tournaments, he has a stroke average of 72.50.
Lake Juban will be the fifth Bulldog taking part in the Linger Longer Invitational, an event the Bulldogs last participated in during the 2020-21 season, with a season stroke average of 74.24.
