RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech heads down to Baton Rouge to face No. 5 LSU Tigers for a 6:30 PM Tuesday midweek matchup at Alex Box Stadium. Tech will then hit the road to face Nicholls State on Wednesday, March 13, at 6:30 PM.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (16-5)
Tech earned a series sweep against Northwestern State this past weekend. The Bulldogs clinched the series after a 15-5 victory against Northwestern State on Sunday afternoon. Tech had six batters with multiple hits on Sunday afternoon. Kasten Furr ranks 1st in runs (35) in the country and 4th in HBP (12). Furr is the active leader in Runs in D-1 baseball, meanwhile, he ranks first on the season in Runs. Ethan Bates ranks 9th in RBI (32) in the country and 3rd in saves (5) while he ranks 5th in doubles (11) and ranks 10th in hits (34). Cole McConnell ranks 16th in RBI (31) while 5th in RBI per game. Dalton Davis ranks 10th in toughest to strike out while Ethan Bates ranks 8th. Tech ranks 9th in double (52) and ranks 13th in Hits (230) this season. 

ABOUT No. 5 LSU  (17-4)
No. 5 LSU is coming off a series loss against Mississippi State this past weekend. The Tigers lost by a score of 15-5 against Mississippi State on Sunday afternoon at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville. No. 5 LSU managed to take a game of the weekend while picking up a 9-8 win on Saturday. 

ABOUT NICHOLLS STATE (17-6)
Nicholls  Sate fell in its weekend series against Nebraska on the road. The Colonels scored ten runs, while the Cornhuskers scored 34 runs in the weekend series. Nicholls State suffered its worst loss on the season by being shutout 16-0 to Nebraska.   

THE SERIES
Louisiana Tech is 8-18 all-time against LSU, however, Tech won the last matchup 7-6 against the No. 14  Tigers in 2022 at Alex Box Stadium. Louisiana Tech is 17-15 all-time against Nicholls after Nicholls earned 8-0 victory against the Bulldogs last season at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park. Tech won the series in 2023 against Nicholls at home.
