RUSTON – Louisiana Tech student-athletes excelled in the classroom in the winter quarter, earning a 3.246 grade point average for the winter quarter which is the second-highest term GPA on record.

It also marked the 10th consecutive term that the 16 LA Tech Athletics programs reached at least a 3.00 GPA. Meanwhile, four programs – Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Women's Track and Field, and Softball – achieved a top-three GPA for their respective sport, which is the most in a single term since the spring quarter of 2020.

After earning their highest ever term GPA on record last quarter, women's basketball topped that with a 3.569. Women's track and field also had their highest ever term GPA with a 3.473. In total, nine programs had at least a 3.00, led by the women's cross country program who had a 3.685.Â

A total of 198 Bulldogs and Lady Techsters achieved the AD Honor Roll (term GPA of 3.00 and above) with 112 of those earning academic honors. A total of 58 student-athletes made the Dean's List (3.5-3.85 GPA) and 54 made the President's List (3.85+ GPA).
