RUSTON – Louisiana Tech's Isaiah Crawford has been selected to participate in the 2024 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, an event that features the nation's top college seniors.
 
Crawford was one of 64 players selected for invitation to the 70th annual P.I.T., an event that takes place April 17-20 in Portsmouth, Virginia.  Eight teams of eight players play a 12-game tournament over four days in front of professional scouts.
 
The fifth-year senior had a stellar season where he earned numerous honors – Conference USA Player and Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-CUSA, NABC First Team All-District, Lou Henson Award and Lefty Driesell Award finalist.
 
Crawford averaged a team-high 16.3 points per game while shooting 48.5 percent from the field and 41.1 percent from three-point range.  He registered double-digit point sin 27 of his 32 games including nine games of 20+ points, highlighted by a career-high 30 points at Jacksonville State.
 
The forward registered five double-doubles while averaging a career-best 6.2 rebounds per game.  He also ranked in the top three in CUSA and top 50 in the country in both steals per game (2.13) and blocks per game (1.77).
 
He totaled 68 steals on the year, which ranks fourth in program history, while also amassing 55 blocks.  As a result, he became just the second player in school history and the third player in CUSA history to have 60+ steals and 50+ blocks in a single season.
 
During his career as a Bulldog, he has registered 1,504 career points, which ranks as the 18th most all-time.  He also ranks in the top 20 in program history in career rebounds (610), career assists (248), career steals (187), and career blocks (102).
 
Crawford is the first Bulldog invited to the P.I.T. since Erik McCree in 2017.
