
Bulldogs Complete 36 Holes at Mossy Oak Collegiate

LA Tech tied for ninth going into the final round
WEST POINT, Miss. – Louisiana Tech finished its 36-hole Monday tied for ninth at the Mossy Oak Collegiate on the Mossy Oak Golf Course.
LA Tech shot 292 (+4) in round one to be tied for 11th after 18 holes, but the Bulldogs improved their team score by four strokes to shoot 288 (E) in round two to jump two spots on the leaderboard.
Coming off his first collegiate win, Niilo Maki-Petaja continued his strong play by shooting 71 (-1) and a bogey-free 69 (-3) in rounds one and two, respectively. The freshman is currently tied for 11th on the player leaderboard at four under.
Will Patrick is tied for 37th, bouncing back from a 75 (+3) in round two to shoot 70 (-2) thanks to birdies on two of his last four holes.
Jake Plumb (75-74=149) and Thomas Henson (74-75=149) are both tied for 56th after combining to shoot five over. For Plumb, he sank just two birdies in 36 holes but avoided big numbers. As for Henson, it was an up-and-down day, particular in the first round when he overcame a big number on the Par 4 No. 2 to close it out with three birdies on his final six holes.
Meanwhile, Gray Kingrea had a key scorecard for the Bulldogs in round one after shooting 72 (E).
Auburn, ranked No. 2 in the country, pulled away from the field shooting -35 which is 23 strokes better than Cincinnati who is in second.
NOTABLES
LA Tech will close out the regular season on Tuesday with the third and final round of the Mossy Oak Collegiate. The Bulldogs, who will be paired with host Mississippi State and Liberty, will tee off from No. 1 in 10-minute intervals, starting at 8 a.m. CT.

- Will Patrick shot a 70 (-2) in round two, tied for his second lowest round this season. It marked his fifth round at or under par.
- Grey Kingrea shot a 72 (E) in round one, his fifth round at or under par this season.
