Batcho, Crawford Named First Team All-Louisiana

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech's Daniel Batcho and Isaiah Crawford were voted All-Louisiana for men's basketball in an announcement made by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA).

Already earning First Team All-Conference USA and First Team NABC All-District honors, Batcho and Crawford can now add First Team All-Louisiana to their list of postseason awards this season.

Batcho made an immediate impact in his first season at LA Tech, averaging 15.2 points while shooting 59.0 percent from the field.  He posted six 20+ scoring performances, including a career-high 24 points in two games against Seattle U and Middle Tennessee.

He also averaged a team-high 9.8 rebounds per game, registering a CUSA-best 11 double-doubles while posting six 20+ scoring performances, including a career-high 24 in two games against Seattle U and Middle Tennessee.  The forward also recorded 67 blocks, which was the 11st most in a single season in program history.  His 2.39 blocks per game ranked top 10 in the country.

Crawford averaged a team-high 16.3 points per game while shooting 48.5 percent from the field and 41.4 percent from three-point range.  He registered double-digit points in 27 of his 32 games including nine contests with 20+ points, highlighted by a career-high 30 at Jacksonville State.

The forward, who was a two-time All-Louisiana Honorable Mention selection, registered five double-doubles while averaging 6.2 rebounds per game.  He also totaled a team-high 68 steals (4th-most in program history) and 55 blocks, becoming just the third player in CUSA history with 60+ steals and 50+ blocks in a single season.
