EL PASO, Texas — The Louisiana Tech track and field teams qualified seven more runners to the finals at the Conference USA Outdoor Championship held at Kidd Field on Saturday. The Bulldogs picked up four points in the field and multi-events, three for the women and one for the men.
Johannon Murray and Aidan Holland picked up points in the multis at the conclusion of the events. Murray finished seventh with 4,467 points, while Holland set a PR with 5,420 points to finish eighth.
Elizabeth Sebera secured another point for the Bulldogs in the hammer throw. The senior stepped up on her first attempt and launched a personal best of 53.25m (174'8''). That would be enough to move her into the finals, and on her sixth and final throw, Sebera topped her previous mark by almost a meter at 54.24m (177'11'') to finish eighth.
Laeden Tucker and Tim Rummelhagen finished one-two in the first heat on the 400mH to get the Q. Tucker set a PR at 51.92 seconds, while Rummelhagen ran a 54.40. Nike Praetzel ran a 1:03.31 on the women's side to advance to the finals on Sunday.
The 200m was the final even LA Tech participated in on the second day. The men and women advanced two apiece into the finals.Â
Quoi Ellis cruised to the win in the final heat with the second fastest time in the prelims, 20.74 seconds. Valentino Rudolph took the final qualifying spot at 21.10 seconds, while Rodney Heath Jr. and Devin Walton finished just outside at 21.21 and 21.28 seconds, respectively.
Saran Kouyate and Shatalya Dorsett finished second in the heat and earned another opportunity to run on Sunday. Kouyate finished fifth at 23.79 seconds, and Dorsett crossed at 23.88 to finish sixth in the prelims. Praise Ofoku missed the top eight by just 0.04 seconds, crossing at 24.20 seconds.

The CUSA Outdoor Championship concludes Sunday with the field events starting at noon CT, and running beginning at 7 p.m. CT. The meet will be streamed on ESPN+ starting at 6:30 p.m. CT.
